LOCATION & CLIMATE Heart of Nature lies in the green heart of Croatia, between the Korana and Mrežnica rivers in the Karlovac region. Inland Croatia is still largely undiscovered by mass tourism — here you'll find unspoilt nature, picturesque villages and a warm welcome.
NATURE The region is crossed by crystal-clear rivers with spectacular waterfalls. In summer the Korana reaches 24°C — perfect for swimming. Around the campsite are vast forests, meadows and nature parks, including the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park.
ACTIVITIES Canoeing and rafting on the Mrežnica and Korana, swimming at the Lipa and Grdunac waterfalls, cycling along the Zrinski and Frankopan route, wine tastings with local winegrowers and day trips to Zagreb, Karlovac and the Plitvice Lakes.
CULTURE Croatia has a rich history with Roman, Venetian and Habsburg influences. Karlovac (the city of four rivers) and the mill village of Rastoke, 20 km away, are absolute must-sees. Zagreb, the lively capital with fascinating museums and inviting café terraces, is only 80 km away.
