Glamping in Liguria — personally selected by Rink-Jan
Glamping Liguria
Liguria is the Italian Riviera: a narrow strip between the mountains and the Mediterranean, with olive terraces, colourful villages on the hillsides and the sea always within reach. Our campsite lies inland in the green Nervia valley, twelve kilometres from the beach and close to the French border.
Camping Delle Rose is located in Isolabona and is run by an Italian family. There's an outdoor pool with a children's pool, a sun terrace with sun loungers, a pizzeria with a wood-fired oven and fresh Taggiasca olive oil, and bar Flora for your cappuccino. In July and August there's Dutch-language entertainment. Dolceacqua, Apricale and Pigna are a quarter of an hour away; Monaco and San Remo a short drive.

DISCOVER THE REGION
Liguria — more than just glamping
Discover what makes the Liguria region so special — from breathtaking nature to rich culture and endless activities.
LOCATION & CLIMATE Liguria runs along the north-west coast of Italy, from the French border to Tuscany, squeezed between the mountains and the sea. The campsite lies in the green Nervia Valley, twelve kilometres inland from the Mediterranean and three kilometres from a lake. The climate is Mediterranean with mild winters and summers around 27 degrees; in April and October it is still 16 to 19 degrees.
NATURE Behind the coast rise the Ligurian Alps, with olive terraces, pine forests and deep valleys. The Nervia flows past the campsite and further on are the waterfalls near Pigna. In the Toirano Caves you walk past dripstone formations and traces of Ice Age bears. Further along the coast are the five villages of the Cinque Terre, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
ACTIVITIES The Mediterranean beach is twelve kilometres away, with pebble coves between Bordighera and Ventimiglia. A footpath runs from the campsite to Isolabona. You can also visit the Toirano Caves, snorkel along the rocky coast and browse the Friday market in Ventimiglia. Monaco and San Remo are a short drive away.
CULTURE Dolceacqua, with its medieval bridge and castle, is the best-known village in the valley; Monet painted the bridge. Further up the valley are Apricale, Pigna and Isolabona, all built of stone against the hillside. San Remo is famous for its flower market and music festival. Ligurian cuisine revolves around pesto alla genovese, focaccia and Taggiasca olives.
